the ecohouse is (in)famous!

oh, wow, i hadn't noticed this. at the end of may my old house was in the news! there's always been rumors about the landlord's plans to tear it (and adjacent houses) down in order to build some more profitable/ expensive/ apartment-building-like... apartment buildings instead. the thing is that they're not allowed to, officially, because it would be against city regulations as these houses are historical and (not yet?) condemned. but not only did the house next door burn down in strange circumstances at some point, which we knew people (including city officials) always wondered about, to us it was always suspect how little the landlord company did to prevent the house from falling apart while we were there. it's such a pity - it can be a beautiful house!

now i wish i could read the whole article from the news gazette (is there any ex-ecohouser or chambanian who's saved a copy, by chance?) and knew if there were any updates... so (since i'm far, far away) - what's the latest, then?!?!
