some guys i've been wanting to see for a while

and i'm so glad i finally did!! they were all fun, bare-bones, excellent shows:

• THE WEAKERTHANS (with christine fellows in the line-up)

• ZDOB SI ZDUB (my previous mention of them, with video, here)

• SHELLAC (this wasn't the 1st time i saw them live but this time they were headlining and i enjoyed their show A LOT - i may be a new shellac convert, though of these 4 i normally like them/their music the least!)

• GOGOL BORDELLO
  (i finally watched "everything is illuminated", too - which i also recommend - and my appreciation of eugene hutz only amplifies)
