25 years of ilenescu
today has the good fortune of being my sister's 25th birthday. quarter of a century - hells, yeah! (lucky quarter of a century, too.) 1/2 a year of holding on and getting it right!!, 9 years of veganism, 10 of painting and speaking out and activism, 15 of "funny and melancholy," 20 of paying neighbors surprise early morning visits in her pajamas and 25 of pure quirky greatness!
to round up this celebration, here's two of my favorite paintings by the artist formerly and currently known as maslinuta. she's against the whole titles-for-artwork concept, so these don't officialy have names, but i call them:
"the one with lots of breasts or is it cells?!"
"the awesome one with blue and red"
