december 10th (international human rights day) will mark the end of the 16 days of activism against gender violence - whose theme for 2006 is "Celebrate 16 Years of 16 Days: Advance Human Rights ‹—› End Violence Against Women"

in support of that campaign, there's an initiative called "take back the tech!":
