i wanted to call this "vegan food porn" again, but in light of my latest food-related post (if you call foie gras food, which you shouldn't), now i just can't. this is like my "all human products are vegan" theory: it's a really funny in-joke up to a certain point, after which it's utterly UNfunny!!!
here's links to vegan porn and vegan food porn, though. for measure.
and some definite yumminess:

Stuffed peppers recipe:
-12 medium, red, sweet bell peppers, washed before cutting off their tops with seeds,
-1 chopped onion, 4-5 chopped garlic cloves,
-2 packages of 345g original veggie ground meat (or equivalent of a mixture with ground seitan or hard tofu, ground nuts, chopped dried mushrooms, pepper flakes, flax seeds boiled-crushed-strained to glue the components together),
-2/3 cup rice,
-salt,
-chopped herbs (this time I had basil, tarragon, chives, oregano, rosemary from my garden),
-sauce of tomatoes sauce-crushed tomatoes-water-salt-chopped herbs,
-oil as needed for frying.
For the stuffing, the onion is fried until translucent, add the garlic and continue for 30 seconds, then the meat and rice for 3 minutes, turn off the heat and add salt and herbs.
The peppers were stuffed with the mixture and then fried in a skillet, carefully turning them around on all sides and after fried, set them standing in a large and tall pan, covered them up to their top with the sauce, the pan covered tight and baked in the oven at 375 degrees until the rice is blooming.
thanks, anonymous, much appreciated. how lucky that you should happen to have my mom's stuffed bell pepper recipe! :P
ps: not sure it's called "blooming" when you speak of rice, in english.
I think blooming is more descriptive than pop up, since the rice gradually expands, in a process similar to what flower buds do when grow into flowers. You can propose another term and I'll take it; until then, I'll name it blooming.
Do not confuse me, though, as you did with bloggs.
:):) ok, fine, let it be "blooming" (is that from romanian, or did you just make it up)?
by the way, who is this? :P
ok big dorks... enough science termonology... you can tell all your lives you gusy didn't study literature or poetry... enough of the blooming and the pop up... where's the scattering? no nanos on that garlic or isn't that brown stuff isn't a film of oil on the garlic?
HEY! who's a big dork?!? oh, right.
