eurovision hilarity

eurovision is finally over. those wacky europeans! (oh, wait.) anyway, not that i cared about it or followed it at all (i just saw the news that finland won with the only rock-ish band in the whole line-up, some kiss-like monster-y thing which is pretty novel for eurovision i guess), but YOU HAVE TO watch the guy from slovenia, anzej dezan. go here, click on slovenia, sit back and... well don't relax but rather prepare yourself for a true scare! i can't quite believe that he's for real, but i have this gnawing suspicion that he might be. at any rate the fauxhawk goes really well with the fake pathos. (speaking of hair styles, the russian guy has a very serious mullet going - i say he should've won.) to get back to anzej, though, on his site one can find out that he's sponsored by skoda (they probably pay for those trendy get-ups). it's all so hilarious, hilariously disturbing, or at the very least baffling; am i the only one who wonders why he starts sporting a blanket all of a sudden and why he keeps calling the person sleeping on someone's "peeelow" a hero? hmmmmmm

why did i feel compelled to write about this? we'll never know.
